Most color sort games use flat, static visuals. Nut Color Sort 3D runs on an adaptive Three.js 3D engine, with a Canvas 2D fallback that kicks in automatically on lower-end hardware. That means the game runs directly in your browser, on desktop or mobile, with nothing to install.
The mechanical theme is what sets it apart. Nuts spin as they unscrew. They float upward before threading onto a new bolt. Locked bolts get sealed with a golden star crown and a celebratory sound. It's the same sorting logic you know, dressed up as a workshop puzzle.
Game Features
50+ Handcrafted Levels
Beginner layouts (levels 1–5) use just 3–4 bolts to teach the basics. Intermediate levels bump that up to 5–7 bolts, and hard "boss" challenges pack in dense color mixtures with tight capacity limits. Some levels also include Mystery Nuts, hidden under question mark plates until you uncover their true color.
Star Rating & Coins
Each level has a par move target. Finish within par for a perfect 3-star rating, and earn gold coins for completed puzzles, bonus stars, and achievements.
Bolt Workshop
Spend your coins on cosmetic skins: Default Steel, Titanium Alloy, Rose Gold, Carbon Fiber, Golden Sovereign, and Chrome.
Assist Tools
Undo a move with no penalty, restart the level to rethink your approach, or add an extra empty bolt with the +Extra Screw tool when you're stuck.
Adaptive Audio
Procedural sound effects handle the metallic clicks, clinks, and lock thuds, paired with a relaxing marimba and bassline soundtrack. Sound and music can be toggled independently from the menu or pause screen.
How to Play Nut Color Sort 3D
Select a bolt, watch the top nut unscrew, then tap another bolt to fasten it there. Chain matching colors together, use your assist tools when a puzzle gets tight, and work toward locking every bolt with a single color.

Sort every nut so each bolt holds one uniform color, then watch it seal with the golden star crown. Clear all bolts on the board to complete the level.
